Friuli Venezia Giulia 2023. Highlighs and Replays
about FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA
From 21st to 28th January 2023 the Olympic flag hosted by the region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, gave the opportunity to over 1,200 young athletes to approach and taste the experience of an international stage and the thrilling of the Olympic flame. Competitions took place across 59 events in 12 different winter sports hosted in 12 of the great venues of the area, as well as the Planica Nordic Centre in Slovenia and the Eissport Arena stadium in Austria.
Italy’s hosting of the first winter EYOF in 1993 saw the return of the Olympic torch after 30 years for this edition of the festival. Following the original values founding the event, the 2023 winter EYOF focused on fostering a better world through sport education, friendship, fair play, and healthy living, while adhering to the ideals of sustainability.
